This week, Chinese heavy equipment enterprises achieved remarkable breakthroughs across global markets. New energy heavy trucks, aerial work platforms and construction machinery continued to expand overseas, supported by exhibitions, high-level visits and large orders. SANY, LGMG, SDLG, Foton, FAW Jiefang and XCMG made outstanding achievements in Europe, North America, Southeast Asia, Australia, Latin America and South Asia, deepening global layout with green, intelligent and localized strategies and enhancing the international competitiveness of China’s equipment manufacturing.
On April 25, SANY held an electric heavy truck launch event in Hanoi, Vietnam, unveiling the EV550 electric tractor. The ceremony attracted over 200 guests from enterprises, financial institutions and logistics companies. Backed by leading three-electric technology, high durability, low operating cost and a complete after-sales and charging ecosystem, SANY signed a bulk order of 100 units on site, with several buyers adding 10–40 units each, and the first batch delivered immediately.
SANY signed a strategic cooperation MOU with Vietnamese partners, integrating R&D technology and local service capabilities to support Vietnam’s green logistics and net-zero goals. The launch marks Vietnam’s electric heavy truck market shifting from wait-and-see to large-scale application. SANY will continue to provide premium new energy solutions, work with local partners to promote low-carbon transport and strengthen its leading position in Southeast Asia’s new energy commercial vehicle market.
On April 24, SANY, via Putzmeister Oceania, signed an agreement with Australia’s FPH for 100 electric chassis, worth nearly 40 million AUD, marking a key milestone in Australia’s construction equipment electrification. The project is supported by SANY PUMP Division with technology and chassis, Putzmeister promotes local implementation, and FPH puts them into commercial operation, setting a low-carbon transformation benchmark for the industry.
FPH previously piloted two electric chassis converted into dump trucks with stable and reliable performance, building confidence for large scale procurement. Driven by Australia’s green transition policies, the cooperation achieves a breakthrough from pilot to large scale application of new energy equipment. The three parties will deepen cooperation to promote electric equipment in more scenarios, help Australia’s infrastructure emission reduction and enhance SANY’s competitiveness in global high-end markets.
On April 25, Foton Motor held its 30th Anniversary Ceremony & Q1 2026 Business Conference, launching the Cangqiong Intelligent brand and three key models: Mars PHEV pickup, Xiangling V5 EREV and Auman HWP/HWA intelligent heavy trucks. The company invested over 3.6 billion RMB to launch five user benefits covering purchase, service, finance, digital and used-car lifecycle, driving high-quality development with “user + product” dual engine.
Foton’s intelligent heavy trucks feature a high-level autonomous driving system with 360° perception, smart lane change and energy-saving cruise to reduce costs and improve safety. The Mars PHEV delivers strong power and 1,200 km combined range; the Xiangling V5 EREV breaks 1,050 km to solve range anxiety. The conference fully demonstrates Foton’s strategy of “full internationalization, full electrification, full intelligence”, accelerating its journey to become a world class commercial vehicle enterprise.
On April 28, FAW Jiefang inaugurated its first New Energy Practical Training Base, focusing on three-electric system maintenance, special tool operation, fault diagnosis and hands on practice. It fully solves the pain point that after-sales technicians “dare not repair or cannot repair” new energy vehicles, providing solid talent support for the popularization of new energy commercial vehicles. The base integrates teaching, training and certification, with the first batch of technicians nationwide in training.
Going forward, FAW Jiefang will rely on the training platform to expand its high-end service team, upgrade terminal service capacity and support its new energy strategy with a professional, standardized and systematic after-sales network. It will consolidate its leading position in the new energy transformation of commercial vehicles, deliver reliable support for its 16 million global users and help achieve high-quality and sustainable development.
On April 26, Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari visited SANY Group’s Changsha Industrial Park to deepen China-Pakistan industrial cooperation and high-end equipment capacity cooperation. The president spoke highly of intelligent products such as unmanned counterbalance forklifts and expressed strong willingness to bring these advanced equipments to Pakistan and realize local production as soon as possible.
This high-level visit fully reflects SANY’s global influence in intelligent equipment and construction machinery. It lays a solid foundation for SANY to deepen the South Asian market, promote localized manufacturing and industrial chain output, support the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and enable China’s high-end intelligent equipment to better serve Pakistan’s infrastructure and industrial development.
Recently, the 30th South American Transportation and Logistics Exhibition grandly opened in São Paulo, Brazil. XCMG made a grand appearance with a full range of material handling equipment, becoming the focus of the exhibition and fully demonstrating its comprehensive strength in the South American market. During the exhibition, XCMG displayed a number of star products including 45-ton fuel container reach stackers, 16-ton fuel large-tonnage forklifts and electric counterbalance forklifts, covering multiple application scenarios such as port operations, industrial handling and warehousing and transportation, highlighting the core advantages of intelligent, reliable and environmentally friendly products. Among them, the XCS4531K reach stacker has been comprehensively reinforced and upgraded, and the electric forklifts realize lead-lithium coexistence with interchangeable lithium batteries of the same capacity among different tonnage models.
During the exhibition, XCMG’s booth was very popular, attracting customers from Brazil, Chile, Argentina and other countries to visit, who highly praised the product quality and services. A Brazilian customer shared his real experience on site, saying that the XCMG reach stacker he purchased has been running stably for nearly 14,500 hours with almost no maintenance, which is very impressive. A number of procurement intentions were reached on site, and the person in charge of XCMG South America completed the equipment delivery on site. He stated that XCMG Brazil will always adhere to the “customer-centric” principle, relying on localized manufacturing, innovative R&D and full-life cycle services to provide high-value logistics solutions for South American customers. This outstanding performance is also a vivid reflection of XCMG’s layout of the Brazilian base in 2012 and its in-depth localized operation in South America.
ScotPlant 2026, held on April 24–25 in Edinburgh, is the most influential construction equipment exhibition in Scotland. LGMG UK brought a full range of products including vertical mast lifts, rough terrain forklifts, electric scissor lifts, boom lifts and telehandlers, drawing wide attention with compact, zero emission and reliable machines from construction, rental, industrial and agricultural customers.
LGMG highlighted star models such as M0810JE, H625E and AR32J-2, covering confined space maintenance, outdoor infrastructure and rental fleets.
